Watching Cam Skattebo in the College Football Playoff Is Going To Be Awesome

Cam Skattebo had a pretty ho-hum day by his standards in the Big 12 Championship Game, rushing for 170 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. And that was in just over a half of football before being taken out because Arizona State was putting belt to ass against Iowa State en route to a College Football Playoff berth.

Skattebo hasn't gotten as much shine as he probably should have this season because of what Ashton Jeanty has done, but he's likely going to be a Heisman finalist and now everyone will get to watch him in the Playoff, too. I'm sure there were plenty of people who just watched him for the first time this afternoon and wondered how the hell they hadn't heard of this guy until now.

And if ASU ends up as the 12-seed, Skattebo is going to be a nightmare for the 5-seed. I'd much rather play Boise State than Arizona State if I was Notre Dame or whoever ends up in that fifth spot, because the Sun Devils are going to be dangerous.

I'm already fired up to watch Skattebo lead ASU into the Playoff. These are the kinds of teams that will make a 12-team CFP fun.
